The engine has 1000nm torque. And this is electronicaly limited, because the gearbox couldn´t handle more. The v12 is capable of producuing around 1200 nm of torque.

That drag race was a perfect illustration of traction vs power to weight ratio. AWD will always get off the line faster especially in the wet. Doesn't mean it will win over a long distance though.

Jeremy is very good, but mostly he’s dealing with these cars brand new. This pig of a thing will give trouble long before it should. A Toyota will be shaking its grill in disgust as vag technic do a u tube video on the 7 timing chains that have failed due to crumbling plastic guides or a miriad of other flaws created by German pests ( I mean engineers) Shame really. But it’s something silly people desire and buy. A folly at best.

6 litre twin turbo and its barely faster off the line than a golf. Certainly would lap dunsfold slower. SUVs are just the worst of all worlds, but somehow people pay $90,000 for it.

My favourite car in the whole world!

The hilarious part about this Q7 is knowing that it takes two turbos and twelve cylinders to make 700+ ft/lbs of torque. The 07 5.9 24v Cummins makes 610 ft/lbs out of half that block (straight 6) and less displacement. Today's 6.7 Cummins makes 30hp less and over 1000ft/lbs. Still, v12 turbo diesel. That's hilarious fun.

Torque is a great thing. But to move what? Any car-&-trailer combo has to follow strict speed limits. And, as my buddy, who bought one „for his wife“ had to learn the hard way: every 3000 to 5000 km the front tires where down to twi. He got nice christmas presents from his tire dealer; his first lady did not bother to put 30‘000 km on the car, for usual lady-cruises; attending charity events, go for regular shopping tours, bringin‘ kids to their daycare. End of buddies career, made her step down to a BMW X3 😉.
